The fact that 12.9" is the size of an A4 paper it felt more natural. Go with 11" if you're gonna take notes while holding the iPad with one hand and writing with the other. Go with 12.9" if you're gonna lay it flat on a desk for writing.
The Bad. 11-inch model still doesn’t have the best display. Still comes in boring colors. Front-facing camera still in the wrong spot. iPadOS still doesn’t make great use of hardware. $799 at
So I actually changed from the 11 to the 12.9 and honestly the 12.9 I can read write and multitask so much better. Reading holding the 12.9 is tiresome but with the smart keyboard as a stand I have zero issues. Writing on the 12.9 versus the 11in is so much better as the keyboard is like a regular size keyboard.
I’m currently using a 12.9 as my primary “PC”, it’s used both for work and personal use. I’ve actually used the iPad as my main computer for the past five years or so. Gone from 9.7 (pro)to 11 (2018 pro) to 12.9 (2021 pro). I also have a 2017 i7 12” macbook and a Lenovo laptop, but I rarely use them.
A new iPad Air 5 doesnt cost much more than iPd Pro 2018 from what i’ve seen. Unless you absolutely need a 120Hz screen or find a very good deal for the 2018 pro, definitely go for the Air 5. • 1 yr. ago. I believe it is atleast 200€ more or maybe i havent found a good deal for it yet. Expensive_Sky5379.

If it’s an accessory device to say a desktop or MacBook, then the 11 is fine. You’ll appreciate the extra screen size especially in the editing (I do music and light video editing).
Torn between deciding whether to upgrade the IPad Pro 11 2018 to a MacBook or iPP 12.9 M1. I do own a Mac Mini, but find myself using the IPad Pro 11 for majority of my workflow i.e. light photo editing, studies etc. The only drawback is the real estate of the screen, slightly too small when having to refer to 2 documents side by side for studies.
The 2018 IPP is still, absurdly, comically powerful - more powerful than your Air 4. In fact, we have both a 2018 12.9” and a 2021 M1 12.9” and In daily use, there’s honestly no appreciable difference in performance. In your case, on top of the improved performance and bigger screen (as well as proportionately higher resolution), you’ll
If you're using 200gb, and have no plans to downsize, then 256gb was never an option. Unless you absolutely need it now, wait till October, if we get new ipad pros then the m1 1tb should go down into the 512gb's current price slot. The 256 and 512 - 12.9 inch have 8gb of ram. The 1 TB has 16 gb of ram.
