If you have 104 renown, you get -5 to every renown award you earn. If you have 30 top tier men (how did you get them by the way?) you need to fight very strong enemies to earn any renown, because in Pendor top tier means levels 40-50, and the game does not think much of beating 100 peasants with 30 demigods.
