The owner's manual, primarily, recommends 87 octane, for the 3.6L V6; 89 octane, for the 5.7L Hemi with automatic transmission and 91 octane, for the 5.7L Hemi with manual transmission. I believe the factory engineers know best. Therefore, I follow the owner's manual.
