The1.4TSI 122 is the old chain cam iteration of the engine and they have had timing chain problems. Only a small percentage, but still potential for a problem. The1.5 is only a tiny bit more efficient and, I believe, has very slightly more torque. There aren't any major differences between them, the design has been tweaked and improved, but not greatly.
