Peugeot 207CC roof fault. N. Neil Bush. posted. 9 years ago. When activating the 'roof down' switch, our 207CC winds the windows down, half opens the boot lid, then, with a 'bong', stops and displays 'Faulty roof mechanism'. It's probably optimistic of me to ask, but is there anything I can try DIY-wise before I take it to the Peugeot dealer? TIA.
He was told that there was a reset button just inside the passenger locking mecanism where the roof locks into the windscreen. He got a pen jiggled it about and that was it problem solved. The garage told him that there is sometimes a blip with the computer controlling it and tells the the wrong info ie the roof is shut when in fact it is open.
there are microswitch in each one of the handles, one of them isnt working. it is posible to locate the fault one and fit a on/off switch for it. u should check the data on live data to make sure what i said above. if both handles are functioning check the 3 microswiches on the shelf hinch. look at the video above n make sure everything is

In the boot at the back of your hydraulic system there are 2 relays one opens one closes roof take the plastic cover of and manually touch them this will over ride the fault and lock roof properly and stop beeping. 4 people found this helpful.
