I have owned a 2.0 x type Jaguar for over 12 months and have had nothing but trouble - there is a persistent problem with the gearbox - it has been back to the dealer three times for the fault to be resolved, in fact it spent over a month in the garage - each time I was assured the problem had been resolved and it always recurs.The XF is Jaguar’s response to well-established luxury sedans such as the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. But it pales in comparison to the competition. It offers an unreliable range of engines, including a supercharged V8 that just won’t stop rattling. What’s more, fixing the 2014 Jaguar XF isn’t cheap.
