Aside from their once-poor reliability, a concern that Jaguar has worked hard to address in recent years, complaints about past XJ's tended to center on two areas: space was surprisingly tight for

19th May 2004, 06:43. I have owned a 2.0 x type Jaguar for over 12 months and have had nothing but trouble - there is a persistent problem with the gearbox - it has been back to the dealer three times for the fault to be resolved, in fact it spent over a month in the garage - each time I was assured the problem had been resolved and it always recurs.
The XF is Jaguar’s response to well-established luxury sedans such as the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. But it pales in comparison to the competition. It is very smooth, very quiet, reliable, makes decent power for the size and time (170hp in 2.5L, 200hp in 3.0 and 220 in the 3.0 ST220), but for some reason they forgot it was going to be a cruiser engine in a family car and they crammed all the torque up top and it has nothing down low. Jaguar addressed this. N7coLU.
